These Grip Buddies are approximately 5 inches wide and the grips on my AT are about 4 1/8" wide. It was very easy to trim these down 7/8" for my grips.I have used grip puppies in the past (and currently have the puppies on a couple of other bikes). I like the feel of the puppies, and these buddies feel every bit as good as the puppies so far. I have read that these will eventually wear out and will need to be replaced, but I find that to be true for the puppies as well, although the puppies wear pretty slow, I can get 3 years or more out of the puppies, and the puppies really don't need to be replaced after that, but they are clearly worn. The only problem with the puppies is they are a bit difficult to install. If you have hand guards, they need to be removed to install the puppies and it takes some effort to work them over the grip.These buddies are super easy to install and require absolutely nothing to be removed. Time will tell how well these buddies wear, but they may become my new choice for comfort grips if they have staying power.
