Please note before reading that this is a joint review for both theStuhrling Original Men's 881.03 Classic Analog Display Swiss Quartz Black WatchandStuhrling Original Men's 881.01 "Classic" Stainless Steel Watch with Leather Band---Having used this watch for nearly 2 months now, I have seen it in all sorts of situations and I am confident that I would be able to provide a comprehensive review for those looking to buy this watch.----To summarize pros and cons:Pros:Light WatchThin BodyElegant DesignTough BuildBattery PoweredCons:Leather Strap leaves much to be desiredGlass being thin, may be prone to scratches----I use a Stuhrling Original Men's 539.33561 watch as a daily driver and it is quite heavy but once I moved onto the Stuhrling Original Men's 881.01 watch, I was surprised at how light it was. It's sleek design fits nicely with "Casual" business type clothing and would easily be able to also serve as a business attire watch if need be.I personally love traditional automatic skeleton watches but I have to say, this watch struck a balance between a somewhat vintage look, sprinkled with some modern twists of its own. I did find myself occasionally touching the knob as if to wind the watch but it was pleasant to remind myself that this is all powered by a battery.I do have a concern though when I try to wear this watch somewhat fit. This was a unique issue that I had not had with other watches but I found that the knob to change time actually scratches up on your wrist quite violently and can actually cause painful scratches. While this issue can be avoided by wearing it loose, my wrists are quite small and anything less than the smallest would be too big for me to use properly.Would I recommend this watch though to potential buyers? For the price it's always being provided at, I would say yes it is. I wouldn't consider it a 300++ Dollar watch but for the price of 70, I'd say this is quite a nice buy.Stunning look. Yes, you can see through it. Very very fancy watch. Bought it on a whim. Dressy. Not casual. Definitely Business casual. Black and gray. Black hands make for Easy to read hours and minutes, but I have to look for the gray minute hand, it tends to get lost. I don't think it would survive construction, truck driver or other demanding work. Just right for a manager or office work.Band is great, Black alligator strap has an expensive look. Buckle is large, tang positioned just right so there are no problems buckling it on. Very comfortable fit on my rather large wrist. Dial (body) part would be a medium (42 millimeters). Very light. I generally get bothered wearing a watch and start trying to adjust it on my wrist. Not so with the Stuhrling Original 881.03 watch, I keep it on all day.You'd think this would be a cheap plastic knock off, but it is well crafted and solid. The crystal seems to be very flat and exposed, and I think it will collect a lot of scratches. Having said it looks well made and exquisitely detailed, I don't see this as a $400 watch. It's pretty solid for $70Comes with a case (paper), cloth storage bag, and all documentation.Arrived on time, well packaged. I recommend the Stuhrling Original 881.03 watchWatch band came apart within two weeks. Nice looking but not worth the price.Received watch several days ago. This is a beautiful watch, so much value for the price. However, the shipping packaging, that's another story. It does come in a nice box with cleaning cloth. BUT, it was mailed in one of those gold paper mailing envelopes with a bit of padding on the inside of the envelope. The back of the envelope was ripped into three spaces. The watch could have easily slipped out of the rips. I am surprised this didn't happen. I called Amazon and spoke with someone about this, did receive an email acknowledgment. I feel strongly that any watch should be mailed in a BOX, not an envelope. Very very pleased with this watch, but I do hope Amazon can reevaluate their packaging of these types of items.The watch band is a little short, compared to my other watches, to fit on my wrist and is extremely stiff.I've only had this watch for a few days, but I can already tell that it's going to be one of my most worn watches. I love watches that have a unique aspect to them, and this watch is exactly that. It can be worn in a dressy manner or just with casual wear. The face feels solid and good quality, and the band has a great feel to it as well. Although this doesn't really have an effect on the watch, the box it comes in is incredibly nice as well; I decided to keep it and keep the watch in it rather than my watch case just because it's so nice. Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to any future buyersIt is a very nice watch overall. The only reason i gave it 3 stars is for personal preference type things. The face is lighter and smaller than i normally like. I knew i was rolling the dice on that when i ordered it but it has such a unique design i had to pull the trigger. Band is great and comfortable and keeps good time. I may not wear it as often as i originally expected to but it is definitely a keeper in the rotation!I really liked this watch when I saw it online. Ordered it for myself (female) but had to return it because it was too big for my small wrist. The band couldn't be made small enough for me. Great styling; pretty easy to read with my readers - a great watch for the price. Sorry it didn't work for me.This watch arrived later than the specified time given. HOWEVER it was well worth the wait. The presentation box was great,proper certificates etc inside so was fab to give as a gift. The watch itself is of excellent quality for the price paid the design is unusual enough to be different but not in your face. My other half loved his late Xmas present. Would buy Stuhrling again.Beautiful looking watch for everyday use. Very pleased with this purchase.Great watch at this budget. It is nicely designed and comes in a professional presentation box. The dial is clear and although the centre is larger than the pic implies it still looks good. My only minor quibble would be that the strap is very big. My arms aren't small but I still has to put an extra hole to make it fit snuglyBought as a Christmas present for my husband and he really likes the modern design. It's smart without being flashy. It has been admired by friends, so a successful purchase. It was a very good price too.Smart watch had lots of complements from people. Arrived on time no hassles
