You can't go wrong with pyrex and this set of 3 mixing bowls with lids was EXACTLY what I needed. There is no "punch bowl" huge size so if you need that pick another collection. But if you're just cooking for 1 or 2 these 3 sizes fit the bill. And the fit nicely nested together in my kitchen cabinets.Already had an older set, but the kids always use them for noodles or cereal, so got some more.I looked till I found the product then ordered it as it is what I wanted thank youLoved the look and size of this set! Exactly what I wanted.I use these bowls to long ferment my sourdough. The lids are tight and the dough doesn’t dry out on top. I would totally order another set if I had space for them, and recommend them to my mother in law without worry of judgement, if asked.I debated for a long time, but I love glass and I love being able to store them in the fridge with a lid that matches.I can't stand when people put food in the fridge without covering it. (Especially you have roommates and and you don't know what is going bad in there!) Now that I have these, I use them to store leftovers all the time. I also use them for what they are named for. The smaller sizes are also perfect for keeping on the counter with chopped up veggies to put in to the bigger bowl/pot/pan. I make guacamole every other week and the 2.5 quart is a perfect size for mixing, mashing, and then storing away. The Good:1. They clean very well and I usually wash them in the top rack of the dishwasher. If they held something for a while and got crusty, then I usually just give them a light scrub and then pop them in the dishwasher. This was one of the main reasons why I got them in glass.2. They are also very sturdy. I don't feel wary of dropping them and don't feel worried when they hit other items in the sink. Of course, since they are glass, you would never want to drop them. However, Pyrex is known to be a good brand in terms of durability!3. The lids fit very tightly over the top and storing these three are very easy and4. don't take up too much space because you can fit them all in the biggest bowl in order of size. The Bad:I can't think of anything negative to say about them!(I've had these for a while now, and was waiting to write up a review so I could give a more accurate and honest opinion.)I affirm that those who love to cook need the standard stainless steel bowl set AND this Pyrex set with lids... I also had the Pyrex bigger bowl, with a rim (same style) for dough work. Being microwave safe is sooooo handy for mixing and immediate heating, the price is very right and I should have bought this set years ago. I have not used them in a hot oven yet (after the exploding glass scare a few years back) but I think they will be fine IF USED CORRECTLY AS ADVISED AND COMMON SENSE INDICATES. (i.e. cold water on a hot rock... boom) I did not buy them for hot oven use. They bundle up together well and I set the lids on top where I can always find them... to simply toss in the reefer for storage. Know that the lids are very snug. I am careful with the glass bowls... just because... but I use them a lot and have had no problems of any kind. I don't shill for anyone and I am fussy about the 'functionability' (hmmm) of my kitchen gear. I will update if necessary... but at this early point... I don't remember how I got along without'em.I needed new mixing bowls and decided to purchase glass bowls with lids due to their versatility. Example---no, you can't put metal bowls in the microwave, although I may purchase metal mixing bowls in the future. The bowls are quite thick and I like the size range, giving I am cooking only for myself. I don't need giant bowels to mix things for a large family. I use these on virtually a daily basis. They clean up easily and I can't find anything to be disappointed about. Lids are cheery colors! Item could be used as a gift for someone who is starting their own kitchen. Nothing luxurious, but a basic necessity if you are going to cook!I've been using these for a couple of months now and am in love with them. Having a glass bowl with a lid is the perfect solution. Lids fit great, easy to wash, nest inside each other nicely. Highly recommend if you fight with plastic wrap.Heavy duty, good quality, and definitely worth a buy. The lids are nice if you made a salad or made too much pancake batter etc. No complaints from me.Very pleased with this purchase. The bowls are as described, & the lids are sturdy. They wash up well.Exactly as described. Arrived in perfect condition!Much smaller than expected.Still very nice
